BB King, an amazingly talented man. He died today, leaving behind an incredible legacy. The music that he played required actual skill, unlike today's crappy noise that assaults my ears. Since learning to play guitar, I've been able to appreciate music for the talent it takes to create it. BB King had a gift that he used to show the world just what somebody could do on the guitar. His style incorporates some quick picking and incredible vibrato that obviously took years to master, which he recreated show after show. Kids today are skinny trolls that press a space-bar and dance around on stage like kids trying to get water out of their ears. If there were more people like BB King, music would be an entirely different concept. You wouldn't just listen to music, you would experience it.

Today we talked about Bread and Circuses, the entire point was to keep the public (somewhat) alive and entertained. I honestly think that the same thing is going on today. The government is providing food stamps, free health care, and unemployment checks to people to keep them alive. This is a good thing in theory, until people unavoidably cheat the system. This happened earlier today at my mom's job- the woman got hired, showed up to work, then left for a lunch break and never came back. We presume that this was in an attempt to keep the government thinking that she is looking for a job so she can keep collecting unemployment. Then the circuses, one fine point is the Obama Phones. They keep people thinking that Obama is working for them and making their lives better. Things like this are tools of the government to keep people happily sedated and numb to what is really going on.

Just my 2 cents, but let me tell you: America is heading to the same time as when Rome collapsed.

Today we had our first pop quiz. I found it extremely easy, probably because I am a really good test taker. I find that homework has always been the hardest part of school, and it always drives me insane when people say that hw points are the easiest to get. It is 100% false. I will take a test or quiz over homework 10 out of 10 times and score better every single time on the tests, which I proved today with a 100% even though I have been lagging on my blog.

Today we finished watching the movie on Rome and Tiberius. Tiberius was one of the few people dedicated to the good of all of Rome's citizens. He ended up dying in cold blood for his cause, and his brother soon followed in his footsteps. I think that Tiberius was power hungry and devoted to the people at the same time. He may have been looking for the acceptance from the public that he never got from his mother.
